After Draymond Green was ejected following a questionable flagrant two foul call in Game 1, it didn’t take long for things to get chippy between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
On a fast break, Gary Payton II’s layup attempt was interrupted by an ugly foul from behind from Dillon Brooks. The Memphis guard appeared to make direct contact with Payton II’s head as he flew through the air defenselessly.
Brooks’ foul caused a hard fall to the court for Payton II. Following his fall, Payton II immediately grabbed his elbow in pain.

It was late announced that Payton II would miss the remainder of the contest with an elbow injury. Without Payton II, the Warriors will need to find a different answer to slow down Ja Morant in Game 2.
