New England Patriots training camp got underway on Wednesday, and there was already a top play to be had, courtesy of rookie quarterback Drake Maye and veteran wideout Jalen Reagor.
Maye threw a 50-yard dime to Reagor, who reached out and snatched the ball out of the air with one hand.
Reagor could make some noise in the wide receivers room for New England, given his speed and versatility. He was acquired in the middle of the 2023 season to add depth to the room, and he ended up recording seven catches for 138 yards.
Now, he is looking to earn a spot on the 53-man roster by displaying more than just his work on special teams. Wednesday’s play was a step in the right direction, as he was able to beat cornerback Azizi Hearn in coverage.

The Patriots’ wide receivers room will certainly be one to watch throughout training camp. It’ll be a fierce competition with the additions of Ja’Lynn Polk, Javon Baker and K.J. Osborn.
Reagor will need a strong showing to ensure he makes the 53-man roster.
