In an incredible turn of events at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Saturday practice session, defensive backs Trent McDuffie and Deon Bush tag-teamed on an interception during workouts at Missouri Western State University.
The play occurred when the team was conducting throwing drills on a pass that was intended for receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette. The Chiefs’ official Twitter account posted a clip of the impressive combined effort between McDuffie and Bush shortly after practice ended.

Shane Buechele appeared to be the quarterback on the play, so fans can rest easy knowing that the pair of defensive backs didn’t get their moment at Patrick Mahomes’ expense.
The Chiefs’ defense started to heat up during the second week of camp once Kansas City began putting on pads for their practice sessions. Now that the unit is able to play to contact and get physical with their offensive counterparts, plays like this are becoming more routine.
