Bob Myers swapped the Golden State Warriors front office for a role as an analyst on national television. He’s been exceptional in his new role, bringing nuanced discussion and experience to the airwaves.
However, at times, discussions can take a turn. That’s precisely what happened during the Western Conference in-season tournament semifinal.
During a break, Myers was part of a panel that included Charles Barkley. The outspoken former All-Star joked with Myers that he had jumped off the Titanic before it sank. Barkley’s comments were in direct relation to the Warriors’ struggles over the opening months of the new NBA season.
Golden State is 11th in the West. It is one spot outside of the play-in tournament and faces a battle to secure a favorable playoff seed. However, the Warriors have been dealing with injury issues, and multiple members of the rotation have started the season slowly. There is still optimism Steve Kerr‘s team can figure it out.
