Fans of the Boston Celtics are getting used to national broadcasters noting how good veteran big man Al Horford has been playing “for his age.” But, the University of Florida product put on a show in the Celtics’ 120 – 107 home win over the Memphis Grizzlies to show that at least this season, the numbers you need to be paying attention to with Horford are not how many times the earth has gone around the sun while he has been on it.
In the statement victory over the Griz, the Boston big put up 21 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks with only 2 personal fouls and turnovers each. He did it shooting a sizzling 8-of-16 from the floor, 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 1-of-1 from the free-throw line in a team-high 40 minutes of playing time.
If you missed his big game against Memphis on Thursday night or just want to see it again, check out this highlight clip embedded below that was put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
