This is the heartwarming moment when Edna Clayton partied on a boogie bus as she celebrated her 101st birthday in style.
The Glasgow pensioner has captured the hearts of the nation after she spent her 100th birthday completely alone in lockdown.
The centurion didn't get to see her son James, who has Down Syndrome - and she didn't even receive her card from the Queen due to an error which meant she wasn't on the system.
But following an incredible appeal from her care home Hector House it was a completely different story this year.
In the video captured by care home staff yesterday as Edna turned 101, her and James can be seen singing and dancing to Daniel Boone's party classic Beautiful Sunday.
Edna waves her hands from left to right as she boogies on the bus.
Another friend then starts dancing around a pole with a bottle of fizz in his hands amid wild scenes.
They continue partying, singing Mull of Kintyre, before the guests finish off by linking arms and signing Auld Lang Syne.
Hector House manager Angela Todd told the Record it was a day to remember.
She said: "She had a brilliant day - some party. There was a couple of fellow residents as well as her son and his carer on the party bus.
"It went down Battlefield way where she came from - but to be honest she didn't even look out the window. She was too busy partying!"
Edna started her big day on national television before her card from the Queen finally arrived, hand delivered by the postman.
Angela said: "She was on Good Morning Britain then at around 9am the postman delivered her card from the Queen and she was just over the moon.
"After that the local school game round to sing to her, then at lunchtime her son came round.
"We had set up a room with afternoon tea for two and we just left them to it for a couple of hours which they really enjoyed.
"When she got back from the party bus she spent another half an hour with her son on their own before he went home.
"After that she was just exhausted. It was just dinner and an early night for everybody."
Edna received around 30,000 cards from all over the world following the appeal from the care home.
And she was even was sent a special birthday message from her idol, Billy Connolly.
Angela said: "We never in a million years expected this response. It has just been phenomenal.
"She was just so happy. The main thing for her was to spend the day with her boy and get her card from the Queen and that was mission accomplished.
"But she got a message from Billy Connolly sent through from the BBC too and that made her day.
"She asks me about Billy Connolly every week, the two of them originally come from Anderston.
"I don't think she realises it, but she is a celebrity now. She was even on the news in New Zealand yesterday - she's gone worldwide.
"That was never the intention. It was just to get her a few cards, then it just grew arms and legs."
Asked if it will be more of the same next year celebrating Edna's 102nd birthday, Angela joked: "I will ask her what she wants to do - but I'm hoping she wants a quiet one!"
