Warzone Season 5 arrives on July 23, introducing a new POI in Verdansk, two limited-time modes, new gameplay features like Supply Drones and Juggernaut Armor, Ranked Play updates, new weapons, attachments, and seasonal events.

Full BO7 Warzone Season 5 roadmap explained
Drone Labs, new Verdansk POI
Warzone Season 5 expands Verdansk with Drone Labs, a new point of interest located east of TV Station and south of Quarry. This facility manufactures Supply Drones that fly across Verdansk carrying valuable loot. You can shoot down these drones and race other squads to secure the rewards.
Drone Labs also houses a rare Armed JLTV locked inside a secure garage. You must locate the required access codes to unlock the vehicle and use its heavy firepower during matches.
New limited-time modes
There are two LTMs arriving in Warzone Season 5:
- Lockdown Casual (available at launch) – This is a 12v12 mode set in Verdansk made to help players learn the new Drone Labs POI. You spawn with your custom loadouts, respawn throughout the match, and gain access to powerful killstreaks. The mode also features exclusive challenges that reward a weapon charm, spray, and animated calling card.
- Heavy Metal Heroes (available in-season) – This is a 50v50 Battle Royale mode focused on vehicle combat and enhanced mobility. It also includes additional respawn tokens along with shorter revive and redeploy timers.
New gameplay features in Warzone Season 5
Warzone Season 5 introduces several new mechanics across Battle Royale and Resurgence. Among them is the Juggernaut Armor, allowing players to equip powerful armor and survive heavy firefights.
Supply Drones fly above Verdansk carrying loot to enable you secure gear after shooting them down. The new HKDs killstreak deploys Hunter Killer Drones that bombard enemy positions from the air.
During the mid-season Reloaded update, Resurgence receives the Quickdrop Kit, earned by completing Most Wanted Contracts to reduce squad redeployment times. You can also hunt the rare Special Delivery Drone, which rewards exclusive weapon camos after surviving with its dropped case.
Warzone Season 5 Ranked Play
Warzone Ranked Play continues in Season 5 with playlists featuring all three maps in rotation: Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep, and Haven’s Hollow.
Of course, there are new Ranked Play seasonal rewards, including the “Storm of the Serpent” weapon blueprint for the MK35 ISR assault rifle and large decal for placement, as well as special calling cards for each rank.
New weapons and attachments in BO7 Warzone Season 5
Season 5 adds four new weapons across the Battle Pass, event, and weekly challenges:
- FG42 assault rifle (launch, unlock via the Season 5 Battle Pass) – Full-auto assault rifle. Excellent damage and respectable rate of fire. Balanced by slower handling and short open-bolt delay.
- Gremlin SMG (launch, unlock via the Season 5 Battle Pass) – Full-auto dual submachine guns. Excellent mobility and firepower, limited at range by inability to ADS
- Mammoth LMG (in-season, event reward) – Full-auto light machine gun. Twin reciprocating barrels provide massive damage with manageable recoil. Slow rate of fire, mobility, and handling.
- Mace (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Melee weapon. High damage, long range, and slow attack speed.
The update also introduces six new attachments:
- Jager 45 Grid-Breaker Kit (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts the Jäger 45 into a recharging EMP device with improved movement speeds. Fires a localized blast that deals minor damage and disrupts enemy electronics.
- M34 Novaline Garand Conversion (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts weapon into a top-loaded semi-auto rifle with devastating firepower and accuracy complimented by a solid fire rate.
- EAM IR-VIZ Thermal Reflex (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – A lightweight thermal sight from EAM for improved visibility.
- M15 Mod 0 AMR .50 Cal Kit (in-season, weekly challenge reward) – Converts the M15 MOD 0 to fire .50 caliber rounds for improved lethality at an impressive distance. Sacrifices fire rate and recoil control for raw power.

New events in BO7 Warzone Season 5
Season 5 features several limited-time events in Warzone.
- Machine of War – Rewards players with the Mammoth LMG, universal weapon camos, reticle, loading screen, and additional cosmetics by collecting trophies.
- Treyarch 30th Anniversary – Offers daily login rewards, including the Treyarch 30th calling card, emblem, and the “Gunniversary” MK35 ISR blueprint.
- Additional mid-season events, including the Warzone Ranked Series.
