BO7 Warzone Season 3 Reloaded patch notes today (April 29)
Battle Royale Casual map rotation, Black Ops royale removed temporarily

Battle Royale Casual now features a map rotation, with Avalon and Verdansk switching every 10 minutes, similar to Call of Duty‘s traditional Battle Royale mode.
At the same time, Hot Pursuit takes over the Black Ops Royale playlist, bringing back its fast-paced, vehicle-focused gameplay inspired by its Blackout debut. The core Black Ops Royale is temporarily removed to make room for the Hot Pursuit LTM, and it’s expected to return in a future update.
Weapon buffs and nerfs
The Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update on April 30 introduces a wide range of weapon adjustments aimed at improving balance across the board.

The MPC-25, which was recently added to BO7 Ranked Play, as well as the Sturmwolf 45 SMG, has received buffs to damage and range, while the DS20 Mirage and MXR-17 assault rifles gain increased damage. The Voyak KT-3 also sees a range boost, alongside LMGs like the MK.78, Sokol 545, and XM325. The VS Recon sniper benefits from faster ADS speed and improved bullet velocity, and some EGRT-17 attachments have been enhanced.
On the downside, the MK35 ISR assault rifle is hit with heavy nerfs to damage, range, and attachment effectiveness, including recoil control and bullet velocity. The Razor 9mm is also toned down with reduced damage, slower ADS speed, and increased recoil. With these changes, expect new meta weapons in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded.
Significant Warzone gameplay changes
A new item called Spikes has been added to Buy Stations, offering powerful perks that appear in a random selection each match and come with purchase limits. Players can carry multiple Spikes, but they lose them upon death.

The final circle behavior has also been adjusted, as items in the gas are now disabled once Buy Stations close during the last circle, reducing the effectiveness of staying outside the safe zone.
Resurgence now includes Classified Weapons, while new equipment such as EMP Grenades, Cluster Grenades, and Sensor Darts expands tactical options. The Grappling Hook can now be used underwater in BR and Resurgence, adding more mobility in certain scenarios.
Killstreak updates make Smoke Screen more effective with longer duration, wider coverage, and faster deployment, while Precision Airstrike now provides earlier warning indicators to better match its impact timing. Various bug fixes have also been implemented across perks, contracts, loadouts, and maps.
New Warzone Prestige Master Titles & Challenges
Similar to Black Ops 7, there are new Prestige Master challenges in Warzone for completing difficult objectives:
- Unstoppable – Win 5 Warzone matches in a 12 hour period (excluding Casual)
- Pixel Sniper – Use a Sniper Rifle to Kill an enemy over 500m away
- Traffic Marshal – Kill an enemy while they are in a vehicle 25 times
- Gun for Hire – Eliminate 50 Bounty Contract Targets (Your Squad must Eliminate Target)
- Scavenger – Win a match with over 15 Eliminations and without using your Loadout (excluding Casual)
Preview of anti-cheat changes for Season 4

Activision is tightening anti-cheat measures in Season 4 by introducing Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA) for PC players, designed to verify that systems haven’t been tampered with. Most playlists will require MAA, and players who fail will see a “Failed Attestation Status” message and face restricted matchmaking, including party-wide restrictions if one member is non-compliant.
Those who don’t meet requirements will be placed in limited matchmaking pools, unable to play with fully compliant PC or console players. Some playlists, including Battle Royale Casual and Nuketown 24/7 in BO7 Multiplayer, will remain accessible without MAA as Activision aims to improve security and matchmaking integrity.
