Best Bet and Prediction
Despite a pair of blowouts in Games 2 and 3, the second round playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers has lived up to the hype. After trading haymakers, the Warriors are facing elimination in Game 5, trailing 3-1 in the series.
Through four games, Steph Curry has fueled Golden State’s offense as a scorer and playmaker. In Game 4’s tight loss, Curry registered a triple-double, but it wasn’t enough. To extend the series, Curry’s supporting cast will need to get back on track in a big way.
In Game 4, Klay Thompson tallied nine points while Klay Thompson went scoreless. A return to Chase Center could be what Thompson and Poole need. In Game 2 in San Francisco, Thompson tallied 30 points. In Game 1 at Chase Center, Poole tallied 21 points while Thompson dropped 25 points. Poole has notched three games with 15 or more points at Chase Center during the 2023 postseason.
With their back against the wall, and the duo of Thompson and Poole firing away behind some home cooking, take the Warriors and the points in Game 5.
Best Bet: Warriors -7.5
Prediction: Warriors 118-107
Bonus Player Prop: Jordan Poole over 9.5 points.
