The Golden State Warriors game against the Utah Jazz scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed. The NBA made the decision following a serious medical situation involving Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Milojevic had been hospitalized with a sudden and serious health issue on Tuesday night. The incident reportedly occurred while players and coaching staff were dining together after arriving in Salt Lake City.
Milojevic is in his third season on the Warriors coaching staff. He joined the team at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, the same season Golden State last won a championship.
During his younger years, Milojevic, 46, enjoyed a 15-year playing career in Europe. He had stops across three major basketball leagues in Serbia, Spain and Turkey.
The Warriors announced they will provide updates on his status as appropriate.
