Warnings of 'unprecedented squeeze' on rental market leading to landlord exodus

The Scottish rental market’s monthly rent has risen on average by 5.2% to £869, according to Citylets.

The rental platform claimed that Scotland’s private rented sector (PRS) is in the grip of an “unprecedented squeeze”, with demand outstripping supply across the country and sending prices to record levels.

A new report warned that a series of further events may trigger greater turbulence and increase pressure on tenants.
