Warning to shoppers as Lidl recalls snack food

Supermarket Lidl has issued a warning to shoppers over a snack item that could be a risk to some people. There are concerns that one of its crisp brands could contain milk and pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance.

Following what it called a "mis-pack", anyone with such allergies is advised not to eat the item and can return it for a refund, reports the M.E.N. The supermarket is recalling its Snaktastic Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips, which do not have milk listed on the labelling.

It said the affected packets may contain Tangy Cheese flavour Tortilla Chips. The warning applies to 200g packs of the Snaktastic Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips, with the batch code T4B 3142, product code T4B 3142, with a best before date October 22, 2023.
