Dublin Fire Brigade have advised motorists to be careful on icy roads after a person in an overturned vehicle was taken to hospital having skidded off a road in Mulhuddart. The single vehicle crash happened on Thursday night and, with temperatures forecast to dip as low as -1C in the early hours, members of the public are being warned to take it steady, especially on roads away from main routes.
Firefighters and paramedics from Blanchardstown attended the crash in Mulhuddart, along with a rescue tender from Phibsborough. The incident was recounted, along with the warning for motorists, on the official Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account @DubFireBrigade in a 10.50pm post on Friday.
It read: "With low temperatures tonight expect ice on the roads especially off the main routes. Firefighter/Paramedics from Blanchardstown and a rescue tender from Phibsborough attended this single vehicle RTC in Mulhuddart last night. One person transported to hospital."
