Products sold by food stores and retailers have been recalled as Trading Standards have issued warnings over the safety of the items to consumers. Product recalls and safety notices are made by traders about products that have problems which could affect the safety of the consumer.

Huggy Wuggy Plush Toys
Various Huggy Wuggy Plush Toys, that resemble Disney or Marvel characters, presents a serious risk of choking due to poor stitching on the items, which allows a standard 'finger' in. The poor seam strength allows access to filling materials which presents a choking hazard to young children playing with the toys. Amazon has removed the product from its website as the product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Munch
Munch has issued a recall order on its Munch Chicken and Bacon Caesar wrap due to it possibly containing fish, which isn't declared on the packaging. The product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish. This affects the product with use by dates up to and including Saturday, July 23. Customers are advised to dispose of or return it to the store from where it was bought.
Hovis Ltd
Hovis Ltd is recalling Ormo (Hovis) Food Service Frozen Pancakes with Buttermilk because they contain egg, which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to eggs. This affects the product with all best-before dates between 8 February 2023 to 11 July 2023. Pack size: Box containing 12 x 4 packs. Customers are advised to return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Wish
Plush golden retriever interactive pet puppy, with a red collar around its neck, has been recalled because there's a risk of injury due to the edges of the mechanism being exposed within the dog's mouth. A child playing with the toy may insert their finger into the dog's mouth, and the motion of the dog's mouth may pinch the child's fingers, causing minor pain and/or bruising. Online retailer Wish has been required to withdraw the product from the market as it does not meet the requirements of the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Life jackets sold on Amazon
Eleven models of life jackets sold via Amazon were not supplied with the required compliance documentation to say that they have been adequately assessed. The brands include Nilipei, Floattop, Lixong, Rosoamy, Grelant, Ajing, Zening, Stecto, Omouboi, Wellpath and Rrtizan. Trading Standards believe they may not perform as expected when relied upon to protect people from harm in the water. The products have been recolled and removed from Amazon.
