All Warburtons products have been removed by Waitrose from its shelves in a row over performance.
The supermarket, which is part of the John Lewis Partnership, is reported in The Telegraph to have said the Bolton crumpet maker's "performance didn’t meet expectations".
However, Warburtons said that "quality is paramount" and that it has put "an awful lot of care" into the products its bakes.
