Volkswagen's luxury brand Audi has announced plans for a $4 billion (£3 billion) SUV factory near Macon, Georgia, with chief executive Gernot Döllner unveiling the investment alongside US President Donald Trump on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
The project is expected to create approximately 4,500 jobs, even as the German carmaker faces extensive restructuring and job reductions at home.
