Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally backed to take Late Late Show hosting role as odds slashed

Podcasting pals Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams have seen their odds of replacing Ryan Tubridy behind The Late Late Show desk slashed this week.

While Co Down comedian Patrick Kielty remains hot favourite to take over from Ryan when he leaves his post next week, the hosts of My Therapist Ghosted Me have been backed into contention, according to bookmakers.

As a result of a flurry of support from punters, Ladbrokes has slashed the odds of Vogue and Joanne becoming joint hosts of RTE's flagship Friday night chat show.

Vogue and Joanne are now 10/1 to succeed Ryan, with their previous odds being as high as 66/1.

"It was widely believed that Patrick Kielty was a done deal for the Late Late Show but following a huge surge in support for Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally, the market has been blown wide open again," said Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes.

"If this latest money is anything to go by, it’s entirely possible that Ireland’s favourite podcasting duo could be gracing our screens every Friday night!"

Patrick Kielty remains 1/3 favourite for the gig, while he is followed by popular presenter Baz Ashmawy (6/1). Next in the betting, however, is the duo of Vogue and Joanne.

As fate would have it, Vogue and Joanne will join Ryan on his penultimate Late Late Show tonight.

The close friends have been listed on the lineup along with Tánaiste Micheál Martin, rock legend Noel Gallagher, comedy favourite Mario Rosenstock, Katie Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn and a number of musical guests.
