Vlahovic, Adama Traore, Eriksen: Tell us the transfers Tottenham should complete in January

It has been an odd season so far for Tottenham Hotspur.

With Ryan Mason's reign as interim manager over in the summer, the Spurs hierarchy moved to bring Nuno Espirito Santo in as manager, backing him to the tune of around £60million in the transfer window.

Bryan Gil arrived from Sevilla with Erik Lamela moving in the opposite direction, while Emerson Royal came in at right wing-back, and Pape Matar Sarr was signed from Metz before being immediately loaned back to the club for the season.

After a good start that saw Spurs pick up three consecutive 1-0 wins, things fell apart for the Portuguese manager, and he was sacked in November after a 3-0 home defeat by a Manchester United side who have similarly struggled this season.

But with Antonio Conte's arrival, there has been a burst of optimism for fans. While there have been difficulties, Spurs are now taking far more shots per match than was the case at the start of the season and getting good results: win their three games in hand on Chelsea and they would be third in the Premier League.

The other aspect of intrigue around Conte's arrival is naturally the transfer window: one would presume that he may not have taken the job without assurances that he would be backed in the market, as has been the case at his most recent clubs Chelsea and Inter.

There have been rumours of players new to Spurs, and also to stars long-linked with a move to north London. But who should Daniel Levy be making a move for in the January window?
