(Picture: AP)Vladimir Putin is “waging a 19th century war of imperial conquest” in Ukraine, James Cleverly said on Monday as he laid out plans to stop dictators destroying the rules-based system which has prevented so many conflicts for decades.
In his first major speech as Foreign Secretary, he stressed that the world faced a battle to stop tyrants tearing up the values adopted by many countries after World War II to instead impose a “might is right” approach.
