Vladimir Putin’s health ‘sharply deteriorating’ as he can't attend meetings - insiders

Vladimir Putin will “no longer attend meetings” due to his “sharply deteriorating” health, insiders have claimed.

The Russian president's health has been the subject of speculation for months, with rumours circulating that he may have used a body double to attend some events.

With the tyrant's war in Ukraine not going to plan, there have been suggestions that Putin is wavering between resorting to nuclear weapons or conceding defeat.

As concerns over the despot's health intensify – speculation has suggested he could be dealing with cancer or Parkinson's - insiders claim that his security officials have delivered the news to Putin that he has run out of “good” options.

With Ukraine officials claiming to have killed more than 44,000 Russian troops and at least 1,800 tanks obliterated, Putin's invasion has endured a calamitous first six months.

Kremlin hopes of a speedy victory have been dealt a series of blows, with Crimea coming under fire from kamikaze drone strikes in recent days. Russia annexed the region in 2014.

Kyiv's resistance has continued with the Ukraine capital putting dozens of captured and destroyed Russian tanks on display.

The Sun reports that General SVR Telegram channel, which claims to offer insider information which the Kremlin wants to shut down, is behind the latest claims regarding Putin's health.

It claims there is "despondency among Putin's senior entourage” over him raising the “extreme” option of surrendering recently-invaded Ukraine territories.

Kremlin defence chiefs are also reportedly worried that Ukraine's military counter-strike could prove “effective”.

Putin’s inner circle are also thought to be anticipating a “sharp deterioration” in his medical condition.

The channel, which has repeatedly made claims Putin has been diagnosed with cancer and other serious medical problems, said: "With a high degree of probability, we can say that soon the president will not be able to personally hold meetings and participate in large events."

It was alleged that the warmonger will attempt to explain any absence as being down to a return of the Covid pandemic.

General SVR also claimed that in recent meetings “various options were discussed, from the possibility of mobilising and using tactical nuclear weapons, to opening a second front in a third country, and, finally, to ‘gestures of good will’ with the return of the occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions to Ukraine.”

The channel claimed that any such move would spell the "beginning of the end" for Putin's rule.
