Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority kids’ programs resume

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) resumed its children-centric activities on Sunday. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all the activities came to a halt in the last two years. The urban development authority screened a national award-winning movie, named ‘Amulyam’, at its children’s arena on Sunday.

A huge number of children attended the movie screening. State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) chairperson Dr Kesali Apparao said the commission has taken into consideration the suggestions received from various NGOs seeking directions to take steps to organise children’s films, cultural programmes and talent shows. “I extend my congratulations on behalf of the commission,” said Apparao.
