Virgil van Dijk has described the special bond between both himself and fellow Liverpool team-mate Andy Robertson.
The Netherlands international is often seen partnered with each other on the left side of Jurgen Klopp's go-to defence and have achieved success since his arrival at the club back in 2018. Winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup last season, both Robertson and van Dijk have quickly developed a strong rapport.
With the current era of Liverpool's side often considered some of the club's very best, it is unknown how long the pair will continue to turn out for the Reds within the team's backline.

Van Dijk has since reflected on the process of building trust with the Scottish international, crediting the 28-year-old's work ethic following his arrival from Hull City.
Speaking on Gary Neville's 'The Overlap' series, Van Dijk said: ‘’I think since before I joined, the first half of the season, when I wasn't at Liverpool he [Robertson] didn't play much, he started to play and that relationship got stronger and stronger. With all the experiences we've got, the success we had, the bond is very big.
''The main message is keep a clean sheet and if we do that we have a chance to win the game, it sounds cliche, but it's the message we have for each other and the main one."
