Virgil van Dijk is not due to return to Liverpool's AXA Training Centre until later in the week after participating in international matches with Holland in early June, but that has not stopped the centre-half from working on his fitness at the same complex at Rangers.
The Liverpool number four is currently in Portugal alongside Manchester City defender and Dutch teammate Nathan Ake as the two bumped into the Rangers squad and compatriot Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Van Dijk has been a regular visitor of the high-performance training centre in the Algarve as it helped with his rehabilitation from the ACL injury he suffered in October 2020.

Rangers posted a picture on their official Instagram account of Van Dijk - who once played for bitter rivals Celtic - with manager Van Bronckhorst.
Liverpool's pre-season training started on Monday with the likes of Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino returning to Kirkby. Van Dijk will return for the flight that takes the squad over to Thailand on July 9.
With little training under his belt, Van Dijk's participation in the friendly against Manchester United on July 12 in Bangkok is unlikely.
Van Dijk has been enjoying his summer holiday after being pictured alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Calvin Harris in Ibiza and then joining F1 World Champion Max Verstappen at the British Grand Prix on Sunday.
