Villagers pull down Assam madrassa linked to al-Qaida, police call it resentment against jehadi activities

GUWAHATI: Not the government, but this time villagers from the minority community in Assam’s Goalpara district have demolished a madrassa which has been linked to al-Qaida by police.

The state government last month had bulldozed three madrassas in Barpeta, Morigaon and Bongaigaon districts all of which have been found to have links with the terror outfit.
