VIJAYAWADA: The National Lok Adalat which was conducted on Sunday and continued till late in the night settled a whopping 1.41 lakh cases in a single day. While the four high court benches presided over by Justice AV Sesha Sai who is also the chairman of AP High Court Legal Services Committee, Justice M Ganga Rao, Justice N Jayasurya and Justice K Manmadha Rao resolved 279 cases, the 376 benches constituted in all 13 districts settled 1,40,994 cases. Among the total number of cases, 1,11,457 pending cases and 29,816 pre-litigation cases were settled so far in the Lok Adalat. The settlement amount stands at 217.16 crore.
