Victoria Beckham is said to be in talks to star in her own documentary series about her life following the success of Netflix’s Beckham.
The Sun claims that the designer, 49, has been approached to star in a series that will document her life from its humble beginnings, to her fame in the Spice Girls through to her starting her own fashion and beauty empire.
Earlier this month, Netflix released BECKHAM – a four-part series that documented David's football career. Victoria starred in the series, which also touched upon their almost three-decade relationship.
A source said: “This will be a documentary exploring Victoria's meteoric rise in the fashion world; how she's built a fashion and beauty empire from scratch.
“The focus will very much be on the business brand, but will detail how she had to overcome the naysayers post-Spice Girls and defied the cynics.
“At times her journey wasn't easy, and there will be a blood, sweat and tears look behind the scenes at the sheer graft she has put into reinventing herself.
“Off the back of David's success, and how well she came across, people will also see, in depth, her wit and sarcasm.”
It has been reported that talks about a series have been happening since the summer, but now are rapidly progressing due to the success of BECKHAM.
A spokesperson for the Beckham family has been contacted by The Standard.
The couple met in 1997, married in 1999 and share children Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.
The reports come after Beckham's ex-personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, who has long alleged that she had an affair with the football star, has claimed he portrayed himself "as the victim" in the show.
BECKHAM covers the allegations that the former England Captain had a four-month affair with Loos in 2003, without mentioning Loos by name.
In response, Loos, now 46, told the Mail on Sunday that Beckham "needs to take responsibility".
"He can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories," said Loos, who lives in Norway as a yoga instructor and medical assistant.
"He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer."
Loos said that the reports were true, and by dragging the affair "back up again" it has affected her "reputation".
"I think if he was going to touch on this time and how difficult it was, it would have been really nice for him to have said 'it was not my proudest time'," she told the Mail on Sunday from a hotel in Oslo.
In the series, Beckham describes the allegations as the "hardest period" of their marriage.
She shared: “It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us. Here’s the thing – we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest.
“You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
“But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.
Meanwhile Beckham said the news reports were "horrible" and left him "feeling sick every day".
He said: “There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.
“It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”
