Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is one of the highest-touted prospects in the history of the NBA, and has obvious aspirations to become one of the best players of all time.
Naturally, he’d like to be to the NBA what Tom Brady is to the NFL.
This made the meeting between Brady and Wembanyama this week all the more interesting, as the greatest quarterback in NFL history posted a picture on Instagram with the Spurs rising star.
“Awesome to meet you,” Brady wrote. “Incredible young man. Usually I’d make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let’s be real…you’d send my jumper into the club level.”

Brady made sure to get in a friendly shot in at former teammate Julian Edelman’s height, while noting the obvious height difference between himself and Wembanyama.
“P.S. [Julian Edelman], this is how you felt all those years???” Brady wrote.
Wembanyama is wise to surround himself with professional athletes who have taken themselves to the height of their respective sports, and there’s no doubt that the Spurs rookie took advantage of the opportunity to meet with Brady, a seven-time world champion.
