Vicky Pattison turns down Geordie Shore reunion and gives reason why

Vicky Pattison has gone on the record to reveal she's turned down an offer to return to Geordie Shore for a reunion series, 11 years after the MTV show first shot her to TV fame.

Vicky was the first person to walk into the Geordie Shore house back in 2011, back when the show's focus was a terraced house in Jesmond. She was in the original cast alongside the likes of Gaz Beadle, Charlotte Crosby and Sophie Kaseai, with the programme instantly sparking a huge reaction, particularly from locals, some of whom argued it was 'ruining' the city, due to the cast's wild antics.

Vicky, famous from her green screen asides about her fellow co-stars and on screen engagement to ex Ricci Guarnaccio, stayed on the show until the end of 2014, before landing her own MTV series, Judge Geordie, and going onto win I'm A Celebrity at the end of 2015. Since then she's topped the book charts, reached the final of Celebrity MasterChef, had a number of her own shows, including emotional series The Break Up is now engaged to Ercan Ramadan who she now lives with in Essex.

Speculation on who will do the Geordie Shore reunion episodes was heightened after several past and present cast members headed to filming at an event in Newcastle. Vicky wasn't there and, speaking to OK Magazine, she revealed she won't be part of the new series despite bosses 'trying hard,' to get her on side.

The now 24-year-old explained: "It brought out the very worst qualities in me and I’ve no desire to relive any of it. I wish them the absolute best, and I’ve no doubt it’s going to be incredible because they’re all amazing people and brilliant characters. But it didn’t make me happy at all."

She added: "I’m finally in a place where I’m loved and I’m happy and I’ve got great people around me. Why would I take myself back to a time that was traumatic?”

While Gaz is also expected to be absent from the reunion, ex Charlotte is back and is said to have announced her pregnancy on camera. Others returning faces include fellow originals Sophie, Holly and James and other fan favourites like Marnie Simpson, Chloe Ferry and Nathan Henry. It's been confirmed that the new series will include a group holiday, a wedding and a return to the Geordie Shore house.
