An anti-lockdown group leader will stand trial in Victoria's County Court over allegations she incited protests against the state's COVID-19 restrictions.
Monica Smit, the manager of Reignite Democracy Australia, pleaded not guilty to two charges of incitement on Wednesday.
She's also facing three charges of refusing or failing to comply with authorised directions.
It's alleged Smit encouraged more than 180,000 social media followers to break Melbourne's lockdown rules by attending a protest in the CBD.
About 90 people attended an August 2021 protest, and around 4000 at a second 10 days later.
Smit's lawyer told Melbourne Magistrates Court that his client had elected to forgo a committal hearing, and instead proceed straight to trial.
The trial is expected to take five to seven days.
Smit, who is on bail, is due to face the County Court on March 2.
