Former Test wicketkeeper Matthew Wade has called time on his playing career, with the 38-year-old opting to pull up stumps with the Hobart Hurricanes.

After nine seasons in purple and a Big Bash League career spanning 119 games, Wade announced on Thursday he wouldn't be going around for another summer.
