Veteran forward Taj Gibson has agreed to sign a deal for the remainder of the season with the Detroit Pistons, as confirmed by his agent. The 38-year-old player is set to finalize the deal on Saturday. Gibson initially joined the Pistons on a 10-day contract after being released by the New York Knicks earlier this year.
Gibson, who boasts an impressive 15-year career in the NBA, was originally selected in the first round of the 2009 draft by the Chicago Bulls. He spent a significant portion of his career with the Bulls, playing for them for eight seasons. Throughout his career, Gibson has also had stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Washington Wizards.
