An injured racehorse recuperated for half the recommended time before returning to work and an accident claimed the lives of the animal and its apprentice jockey, an inquest has been told.

Four-year-old bay mare Lina's Choice collapsed in trackwork near the winning post at a country NSW racecourse in February 2022.
