Brenda Blethyn has told Vera fans to 'watch this space' when it comes to the future of the ITV drama, admitting that she's left feeling like she 'can't do it any more' at the end of each series.
Six weeks after the much loved show made its return to screen after close to a year away, Vera fans will soon have to adjust to Sunday nights without once again, as the last episode of its current run airs on Sunday, February 19. The series will culminate with the dramatic tale of The Darkest Evening, the fourth episode of Vera's 12th series.
The story, written by Ann Cleeves, sees Brenda famous TV alias having to confront her past and the strained relationship with her family, after being caught up in a violent storm. Brenda has spoken about how she and her fellow cast members got drenched during filming for the episode, thanks to some unpleasant weather and added artificial rain and a wind machine on set.
