Venezuela's opposition leader Maria Corina Machado said on Monday she is "willing to do whatever it takes" to return to the country to help with recovery efforts following last week's twin earthquakes.
The deathtoll from the quakes rose to 1,719 and the search for survivors entered a more desperate phase.
