Vanessa Feltz appears on verge of tears when asked about life after Ben Ofoedu

Vanessa Feltz appeared to tear up when asked on video about how she was "really feeling" in the wake of her split from ex-fiance Ben Ofoedu.

The This Morning agony aunt, 61, was left distraught following the breakdown between the pair earlier this month amid rumours that Ben had been unfaithful. Vanessa and the Phats & Small singer had been together for 16 years when the bombshell revelations came to light on Christmas day.

Ben, 50, had shared a picture of a broken heart emoji on his social media the following day as Vanessa told her followers that she was "shocked" and "incredibly sad" as she addressed the breakup in a frank video message in which she said the trust had been broken.

The 50-year-old has since spoken out regarding the split, admitting he cheated on Vanessa in an exclusive interview with The Mirror. Ben confirmed he betrayed Vanessa's trust for a second time after she forgave him for cheating at the start of their relationship by having sex three times with an older woman.

And recently while enjoying dinner at the Brasserie Of Light restaurant within London's Selfridges, Vanessa was asked by a friend from behind the camera, "Vanessa, you’re looking great, but how do you really feel?," reports Manchester Evening News.

After pulling a sad expression as her friend filmed her response, she said: "Well, no one said it was going to be easy and I must say it isn’t easy actually, especially in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep and all of that.

"But I’m keeping on, keeping on and I’ve got lots and lots of friends and family around me and I’m really loving that. Everyday I suppose I hope it’s going to get a little bit easier but thank you for asking."

As she posted the video to Instagram, Vanessa was again showered with support from her famous pals and fans. This Morning star Lisa Snowdon said: "Sending you the biggest hug darling V." Socialite Lizzie Cundy replied: "Keep strong my lovely."

TV star Trisha Goddard wrote: "Step by step…" alongside a red heart emoji. @gardnerrodney commented: "You're doing AMAZING. Try and be kind to yourself." @zoes_colourful_interiors added: "Sending you all my love."

Last week, we reported how Vanessa said was feeling "battered and bruised" as she celebrated her 61st birthday. The presenter reflected on the past 12 months during which she became unexpectedly single.

Vanessa, who spent Valentine's Day on a healing trip to Ireland with her family, said she's "marching on" after the heartache and looking forward to the future. In her latest update, Vanessa revealed she "can't sleep in the middle of the night" but hopes life will become easier as the months go on.
