Gardai are investigating after a van was driven through the gates of a well-known TD's home in Co Leitrim.
The incident is believed to have occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at the home of sitting Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny.
A vehicle is said to have been driven through the closed gates of the home of the high-profile in Aughavas, Co Leitrim at approximately 2am on Thursday morning.

The van narrowly missed the house and drove through the doors of the garage which was next to the house.
TD Kenny was at home with his wife at the time of the incident.
"I would like to thank the gardai and ambulance services who arrived quickly on the scene to deal with the incident and the driver of the vehicle," said Deputy Kenny to the Leitrim Observer.
Indepedent.ie reports that the driver remained at the scene and was later brought to hospital before being arrested.
Gardaí are continuing their probe.
