Valentine's Day hotel romp lands couple in court for criminal damage after noise complaints

A couple have ended up with a £1,000 bill after their "over-exuberant intimacy" in a hotel room on Valentine's Day. Police were called after their noisy sex disturbed other guests - with the pair later finding themselves in court charged with criminal damage.

Jamie Boultbee, 41, and his partner Kaylie Hursthouse 33, were ordered to cough up £500 each. The money was to cover the cost of a damaged bathroom door and compensation for hotel guests who had been woken up by their romp, reported StokeonTrent Live.

Management at Izaak Walton Hotel in the Peak District were forced to called police just after midnight on February 15 after "multiple warnings" to a "group being rowdy" were ignored, a court was told. Officers got no reply when they knocked on the door of the room so were given a key to let themselves in and found Hursthouse drunk, slurring her words and "unsteady on her feet".
