ALMORA: A teenage girl was allegedly raped by her grandfather and paternal uncle in an Almora village on June 2. Following days of depression, the girl recently told her family about the incident. Subsequently, the girl's father got a complaint registered against the two accused.
Ajendra Prasad, station house officer, Someshwar police station, told TOI, "According to the complaint, the girl was first raped by her grandfather. The paternal uncle of the girl witnessed the crime and took intimate photos of the two. He used the photos to blackmail and then rape the girl." The SHO added, “We have launched an investigation into the case and are recording the statement of the rape survivor.”
