Uttar Pradesh: Youth throws ‘ink’ on Congress star campaigner Kanhaiya Kumar

LUCKNOW: New entrant to the Congress Party and popular Jawaharlal Nehru University alumnus Kanhaiya Kumar was taken in for a surprise on his way to the UP Congress headquarters here on Tuesday when a miscreant threw some liquid on him. While Congressmen alleged that the youth had poured acid on Kanhaiya’s face, the police said that the liquid appeared to be ink.

A star campaigner for the Congress in the 2022 assembly elections, Kumar was in the state capital to campaign for various candidates, including Dilpreet Singh DP, contesting from Lucknow Cantonment seat and Sadaf Jafar who has been named from the Lucknow Central.
