USF has officially named Alex Golesh as the Bulls’ next football coach. The 38-year-old Russia native spent the last two years at Tennessee, where he was the offensive coordinator under Josh Heupel. Before that, Golesh spent a year as the co-offensive coordinator at UCF (2020).
The Bulls announced the news via social media Sunday morning, about 12 hours after The Action Network first reported that Golesh had accepted the job. A formal introduction and news conference are scheduled for 11:30 Monday morning at the USF Alumni Center. It will be open to the public.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Golesh as the new leader of our program,” athletic director Michael Kelly said in a statement. “He is a dynamic coach and recruiter who is relentless in pursuit of excellence, as evidenced by his outstanding track record of elevating numerous programs. He also happens to be one of the most creative and successful offensive minds in college football.
