MIAMI: It was an agonizing wait for the US team on Friday. The sun kept coming out, only to hide behind the clouds again. There was a concerted effort to get USA's game against Ireland going, but a 15-minute spell of downpour sealed their passage through.
It was a mixture of relief and happiness for the USA lads, who had worked so hard for this moment. From here on, though, the battle will get tougher as the co-hosts start their Super 8 campaign against South Africa in Antigua.
