For Pakistan, this is their first group match. The USA played the opening fixture of this year’s T20 World Cup on this ground, when they beat Canada comfortably. This was the fifth time out of five that the USA have beaten Canada this year.
Pakistan’s form since losing the T20 World Cup final to England in Melbourne in November 2022 has not been good. They have won nine and lost 15 of their T20 matches.
