Bill Maher has been slammed by fans for his controversial comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The US TV host joined Piers Morgan, who has been outspoken in his dislike for the royal duo, on his Talk TV chat show to discuss whether he had crossed paths with Harry or Meghan since they moved to LA.
Harry and Meghan moved to LA in March 2020 after living in Vancouver for a few weeks after announcing that they had stepped down from the Royal family.
However, Bill confirmed that he hadn't met the couple since they relocated and went on to criticize them during his chat with Piers.
"No, no, I don't know them," he said. "I admire Harry for going to Afghanistan, anybody who's had military service I can only criticize so much because I haven't and there's nothing that compares to military service.
"But they're ridiculous after that. They want it both ways," Bill continued. "You can't be, 'These people were so mean to us and poor us, and we don't want all this attention,' and then 'Let me write a book about how much we don't want attention'."
He then advised Harry and Meghan to "take a hint" from the late Queen Elizabeth the Second following their "weird" complaints.
"They just strike me as creatures of that generation, you know, you're just fragile, you know. Take a hint from the Queen, the recently departed.
"You're complaining about your hard life and you're so privileged. It's just so weird," he concluded.
Piers shared the clip of Bill to his Twitter and viewers quickly took to the comments to slam the pair.
"There are lots of people who haven't met Harry and Meghan. Including him (even though he likes to pretend) but if he's not embarrassed by his obsession, I'm embarrassed for him," one wrote.
A second put: "Ah of course, it had to be about Harry and Meghan again. You just can't leave it alone can you."
"I find it really disturbing that all of these old, white men are obsessed with this woman. They have some sort of creepy, stalker infatuation with her," a third added.
A fourth then said: "Two ridiculous people calling other people ridiculous. Takes one to know one I guess."
