US tech firm hiring Bristol and Bath apprentices for new scheme

A US software giant has co-launched an apprenticeship programme for young professionals in the West of England as part of efforts to attract more people from diverse backgrounds into the tech sector.

Digital banking firm NCR, previously known as the National Cash Register, is set to recruit apprentices without a university degree to its professional services team over the coming months.

The scheme, which is a collaboration between NCR and Multiverse education tech startup Multiverse, will see 50 apprentices taken on, with around 20 from Bristol and Bath - where it has an office - and the remainder from London.
