US sues TikTok, accusing it of violating online privacy laws for children

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the TikTok social media site on Friday, accusing it of violating online privacy laws aimed at protecting children.  

The Justice Department sued TikTok on Friday, accusing the company of violating children’s online privacy law and running afoul of a settlement it had reached with another federal agency.
