US strikes suspected drug boat in Caribbean; 4 killed in latest operation

United States SOUTHCOM US Southern Command Human Rights the Caribbean Sea Washington D.C.

The US military killed four people in a strike on a suspected drug-trafficking vessel in the Caribbean Sea, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said on Sunday. The operation is the latest in a series of attacks by Washington on vessels it claims are involved in narcotics trafficking, drawing criticism from human rights organisations and international experts over their legality.
