US stock market today: U.S. stock market opened with a split. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite held slightly above the previous close.

At around 10:55 a.m. EDT, the Dow stood at 51,314.41, down 167.10 points, or 0.32%. The S&P 500 was at 7,685.22, up 1.29 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 66.47 points, or 0.25%.
