Jack Draper, the 25th seed from Britain, advanced to the US Open semi-finals on Wednesday with a commanding victory over Australia's Alex de Minaur. Draper won in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2, becoming the first British man to reach the final four at Flushing Meadows since Andy Murray's triumph in 2012.
In the other match on Arthur Ashe Stadium, Czech player Karolina Muchova overcame a "bug" to defeat Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia.
