US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Kyiv on Sunday for talks with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky a day after meeting the Russian president Vladimir Putin to discuss proposals over how to end the four-year war between Russia and Ukraine.

“We are interested in bringing the end of the war closer," Zelensky said in a post on social media before Witkoff and Kushner's arrival.
