Urgent search launched for missing teenage girl who vanished from Fife town

A search has been launched for a missing teenage girl who vanished from a Fife town. Safiyyah Hussein was last seen at around 9 am on Thursday, June 1, in Rosyth.

The 13-year-old is described as being 5ft 5 in height, of medium build with long brown hair with blonde highlights. Safiyyah was last seen wearing a white jumper, jogging bottoms and white 'Fila' trainers.

It is believed she may be carrying a black leather rucksack. Officers are asking for the public's assistance in tracing the missing girl.

Sergeant Debbie Murphy, Cowdenbeath Police Station, said: “We would appeal to anyone who may have seen Safiyyah or has any information on her whereabouts to contact police. Information can be passed to officers via 101, quoting incident number 3238 of Thursday, 1 June 2023.

"We'd also appeal to Safiyyah herself to get in touch as we all just want to make sure she is safe and well."
